Septic tank maintenance and servicing

Whether you need a septic tank installed, emptied, repaired, or converted into a sewage treatment plant, our experts are here to provide a complete septic system service. Septic tanks require regular emptying and maintenance to ensure they work correctly and remain legally compliant. Neglecting servicing can lead to serious issues that are far more expensive to resolve later, which is why we recommend a proactive approach.

Our septic tank maintenance service includes a full inspection, pump-out, and treatment of the system to keep it functioning correctly. Regular septic tank treatment helps to break down waste, maintain healthy bacteria levels, and reduce the risk of blockages or overflow.

Septic tank pumping, repair and compliance

Without regular septic tank pumping and maintenance, waste can build up and overflow onto surrounding land or into watercourses, causing environmental damage and potential legal issues. Our engineers handle all aspects of septic system service, including routine emptying, septic tank repair for damaged systems, and compliance inspections. While a CCTV survey cannot directly assess the condition of a drainage field, it can identify issues within the connecting pipework, such as blockages, root ingress, cracks or collapses, poor installation, build-up, and standing water, which may indicate restricted flow or that the drainage field is no longer draining effectively. For blocked drainage fields, high pressure drain jetting can restore flow without excavation.

The General Binding Rules (2020) require that waste from a septic tank discharges to a formal drainage field and cannot reach a watercourse. Failure to comply can result in large fines. If you are purchasing a property with a septic tank, or already own one and want peace of mind, we can carry out a Septic Tank Compliance survey to confirm it is legally compliant and structurally sound.
